Photography Tour

Being immersed in Bhutan’s beauty and culture is what our photographic tours are all about. Bhutan has an abundance of distinctive scenery on offer, from its natural beauty, to its vibrant and colourful architectural heritage, to the welcoming characterful Bhutanese people. Our tours are of an intimate nature comprised of no more than 10 people at a time. As part of the package, we invite local English speaking photographers to accompany the tour as they know best where the scenic areas are located, as well as the best time of day for the most visually dramatic light. They will also assist as interrupters when venturing into the local villages.

Our tour include attending the infamous and colourful Bhutanese cultural festivals, exploring the local farm villages and visits to the vibrant food markets. But moreover we will take you to Bhutan’s most scenic locations, from views over dramatic mountain ranges, striking reflective lakes, cascading rivers, as well as visits to Bhutan’s most exquisitely built temples and monasteries. We understand the nature of photography, so our tours make good use of the two ‘golden hours’ of the day, namely sunrise and sunset, when the light is at its most rich and vibrant. And since we appreciate the time required to capture unique and beautiful imagery, our tour has been designed in such a way that enough time is allocated at each location.

A basic level of walking fitness is required to reach most of these scenic spots, but nothing too extreme. We have several scenic walks planned and the climb to the top of the Tiger’s Nest is exhilarating and spectacular.

Do feel welcome to bring the desired camera equipment you wish to use, as long as you are able to comfortably carry it, we will take care of the rest. After signing up for the tour we will present you with a detailed recommended gear and packing list.

As always, if you have any specific photographic requests, we will love to accommodate where possible, so please inform us ahead of time, so we can make the necessary arrangements.
